Cancelled Zoning Hearing Board Meeting - 2/9/16 PDF Print

IMPORTANT NOTICE

On Friday, February 5, 2016 the Applicant, UPMC, requested a 60-day continuance of the hearing on the validity challenge.  The Zoning Hearing Board and counsel for the Objectors agreed to the extension.  Accordingly, the hearing scheduled for February 9, 2016 at the Pleasant Hills Middle School has been cancelled.  A rescheduled date for the hearing will be set with the next week.

 

 
Door to Door Soliciting PDF Print

Solicitor's for COMCAST are in the Pleasant Hills area starting Wednesday, January 27, 2016 through Saturday, March 26, 2016.  The Solicitor's have registered with the Borough and have a Soliciting Permit for the dates above.  These Solicitor's also have the Borough's “No Solicitation List”and should not knock at your door if you have registered to be on the Borough’s list.

Update on Municipal Projects PDF Print

THE FOLLOWING IS A SHORT UPDATE ON CURRENT AND COMPLETED MUNICIPAL PROJECTS

1.  The excavation has begun on the new outdoor FIFA regulation Soccer/Lacrosse turf field in the Breisinger Sports Complex. The new facility is scheduled to be completed for dedication in early Summer.  An improvement to the upper Maize Field will follow in the future.

2.  The new retaining wall behind the Pleasant Hills Fire Station is under construction and scheduled to be completed by early Spring.

3.  The new sanitary sewer and wet weather equalization facility in the Sunrise and Lewis Run watersheds has been designed and will soon be advertised for bid. The start of construction will begin after the bid has been awarded.

4.  Design is underway for the renovation of the 50-year old HVAC in the Municipal Building.

5.  Design is under way for the renovation of the Tassel Lane sanitary sewer pumping station. This will replace the 60-year old facility.

6.  The storm sewer line repair on Arbor Lane has been awarded but work has not begun.

MS4 - Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System PDF Print

What is a MS4?

Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System - Any conveyance that is:

Used for collecting and/or conveying stormwater
Owned by a municipality or any other public body
Not used as a combined sewer
Not part of Publically Owned Treatment Works

Borough Code 356-26 states that parking on Borough streets is prohibited if there is six (6) inches or more of accumalted snow or ice. No person may shovel, throw, toss, blow or otherwise deposit snow or ice from their lawn, driveway or sidewalk onto Borough Streets.

No vehicle shall be parked upon any public street within the limits of the Borough for a period longer than 30 minutes between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
