2010 Pleasant Hills 5K Race & 2 Mile Walk

COURSE
Our race is an out-and-back, with gently rolling hills. It starts at the heart of our festival, Mowry Park, and travels the streets of Pleasant Hills including Gill Hall Road and Old Clairton Road. See below for a detailed race map.
ENTRY FEE
$15 before August 3rd; $18 after
WHO SHOULD ENTER
Competitive and amateur runners of all ages.
Walkers of all levels welcome.
REGISTRATION
Effective August 7, 2010 on-line registration is closed.
However, you still have the opportunity to register for the Pleasant Hills 5K Race & 5 Mile Walk that will be held on Saturday August 14, 2010 at 9:00 am. The registration fee is $18. Please come prepared to pay cash or by check. Checks are to be made payable to: Pleasant Hills Community Day.
Registration will be accepted during Packet Pick up. Please see below for time and location.
MEDICAL AID STATIONS
Baldwin EMS Paramedics will be present along the course to provide medical care. A water station will be provided in front of the Prince of Peace Church by parish volunteers.
PACKET PICK-UP
Race Packet Pick-Up is at the Pleasant Hills Borough Building located at 410 E. Bruceton Road Pittsburgh, Pa 15236.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING
Pleasant Hills is located at the Cloverleaf intersection of Route 51 and Lebanon Church Road in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Turn at the Cloverleaf off of Route 51 onto Old Clairton Road. Proceed about 3/4 mile on Old Clairton to the Pleasant Hills Middle School (on your right) for parking and shuttle buses. Pleasant Hills Middle School is located at 404 Old Clairton Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
SHUTTLE BUSSES
(Starting at 8:00am)
To get to the start of the race (the Mowry Park Sign) shuttle buses will pick up participants at the Pleasant Hills Middle School (located at 404 Old Clairton Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236) and take race participants to the start and back to the parking lot after the race. Racers are welcome to stay and enjoy the Festival. Shuttle Buses will be running continually until 30 minutes after the fireworks show. Show will end at approx. 10:30 pm.
TIMING & RESULTS
Timing, results, and certification by Runner's High.
AWARDS & PRIZES
Trophies will be awarded to the Top 3 Male & Female overall winners and to the Top 3 Male & Female winners in each age division. All finishers will be awarded a Finishers Medal! A Random drawing for prizes will be held for racers in attendance at the time of the drawings.
