The Pennsylvania Resources Council is pleased to provide the 2012 schedule for Hard to Recycle, Household Chemical and Pharmaceutical Collection events. Flyers for each event will be distributed as they become available. For now, please feel free to share the dates and locations with your residents. Please be advised that event dates and /or locations are subject to change. Please visit PRCs Zero Waste Pittsburgh website for the most up to date list of PRC collection events, hours, fees and list of acceptable materials. Saturday, April 21 South Park, Corrigan Drive, Allegheny County. Saturday, May 12 Steel City Harley Davidson, Washington PA, Washington County. Saturday, June 23 Mall at Robinson, Allegheny County. Saturday, September 29 The Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, Tarentum, PA. **NEW THIS YEAR PRC is returning the Hard to Recycle Collection to its roots. This year the focus will only be on items collected for recycling; e-waste, cell phones, ink and toner cartridges, CFLs, batteries & fluorescent tubes. Fees apply to some items and are listed on PRCs Zero Waste Pittsburgh website. Tires, medical supplies, usable building material and furniture will NOT BE ACCEPTED at Hard to Recycle events this year. Instead - PRC will be holding a ReuseFest Collection a one-day collection event focusing on reusable materials that will take place in August. ReuseFest Collection event details to follow soon.
Fee- $2 per gallon. Saturday, May 5 North Park, Allegheny County. Saturday, May 19 CTC ETF Facility, Johnstown, PA, Cambria/Somerset Counties. Saturday, July 14 Washington Mall, Washington County. Saturday, September 15 location to be announced, Allegheny County. Saturday, October 13 Bradys Run Park Recycling Center, Beaver County.
No charge. Saturday, April 28 multiple locations throughout southwestern PA. This event will be held in conjunction with DEAs National Drug Take Back Initiative..
