On June 6, 2008 the Pleasant Hills Police Department conducted its 14th annual DARE graduation. The 5th grade DARE program, taught by Chief Cunningham, is the culmination of that taught by Sgt. Kelly in K-4th grade and instills in the students the knowledge and skills necessary to face the challenges created by the temptation to get involved in drug and alcohol abuse.

The program builds the students sense of good self-worth and self-esteem and shows them how to make positive choices and decisions. We are very proud of our 5th grade students for the fine job they have done and grateful for the continuous support given by the school staff and the 5th grade teachers.
