THE FOLLOWING IS A SHORT UPDATE ON CURRENT AND COMPLETED MUNICIPAL PROJECTS

1.  The new wet weather equalization facility near the Toyota Dealership is nearing completion.  The Borough anticipates completion of this project by years end.

2.  Residents should be aware that as the Sunrise Sanitary Sewer Project continues, Old Lebanon Church Road remains closed.  We anticipate that Old Lebanon Church Road will reopen by Thanksgiving, weather permitting.  This project will, however, carry over into 2018 and the Borough is currently working closely with the contractor to develop a completion date in 2018.  Please check back for updates on this ongoing project.

3.  Design is complete for the 60-year old Tassel Lane sanitary sewer pump station and force main.  The project is awaiting complettion of the state budget in anticipation of a possible grant to finance this project.

4.  The Arbor Lane storm sewer replacement has been completed.

In closing we would like to remind residents that as we transition from summer to fall, we also begin winterizing the parks and facilities.  During the fall and winter months, parks will be open as weather permits.  Safety is our primary concern.  Ice and snow can make the parks very dangerous.  If you are walking in the parks while snow and ice are present, please understand that you are doing so at your own risk.  While we would love to maintain the parks during the winter, the roads and sidewalks are our primary objective in making for safe commute for residents, emergency vehicles and school children.
