Pleasant Hills Community Day Parade
 
Date: Saturday, August 12, 2017  
Step Off: 11:00 am Sharp!
Line-up Start: 9:30 am
You will be contacted approx. 2 weeks in advance with notification of your exact line-up time.
Line-up Location:  Pleasant Hills Presbyterian Church - 199 Old Clairton Road
Entry Fee: $100 -  For business's/politician's or political groups that do not have a booth or haven't made a donation of $100 or greater.
 
Parade Route:
 
Parade will begin on Audrey Drive and will proceed down Old Clairton Road to Gill Hall Road ending in the heart of the Pleasant Hills Community Day festival - Mowry Park.   The parade route is Approximately 1.1 miles.

On the application, please specify if you or your group have any particular needs in terms of placement in the parade line-up.
You will be contacted approximately two weeks prior to the parade with details about your arrival time and your place in the parade roster.

Route to the Church:
 
An alternate route to the parade line-up area for those traveling north from the Elizabeth Bridge (Route 51) area:
Take Route 51 north until you reach the traffic light at East Bruceton Road (there is a BP station on the corner). You will be making a left turn onto East Bruceton. At the first stop sign, make a right onto Delano Drive, travel past Lynn Drive and then left onto Nantucket Drive. Continue on Nantucket, which will turn into Audrey Drive. There will be parade volunteers at the intersection of Audrey and Caryl Drives who will be there to direct you to your specific staging area.
There will also be a drop off area for marchers in the parking lot of the Church off Caryl Drive. After dropping off, please exit the lot to the right onto Caryl and then left onto Constitution to East Bruceton. These directions must be followed to avoid bottlenecks around the line-up area. Your cooperation is appreciated!
There will be NO PARKING in the lots or on the streets in the line-up area unless that vehicle is actually in the parade itself. Sorry, no exceptions can be made.
Please arrange to carpool whenever possible.  It is a great way to "go green" and will reduce traffic congestion on Parade Day.  Thank You!!

All Pleasant Hills and surrounding communities please make sure to lock your car doors.  PLEASE DO NOT leave handbags, wallets or any high priced items, such as a GPS, laptops, iPod's or cell phones on the seats or floorboards of your vehicle.  Call 911 if you see any suspicious person(s) or vehicles in the area, especially at night.


No vehicle shall be parked upon any public street within the limits of the Borough for a period longer than 30 minutes between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
