Dear Residents:
We are writing to inform you about an upcoming construction project that will affect your neighborhood.
Beginning June 10, 2024 Winifred Drive will be closed to all traffic between Valley Drive and East Bruceton Road. Pedestrian traffic will also be restricted from Pleasant Kingdom Park to East Bruceton Road.
Rest assured that emergency services have been informed of this closure and have established alternative routes to ensure continued access to all areas during this period. Your safety and well-being remain our top priority, and we are working diligently to minimize any inconvenience caused by this temporary closure. This closure is necessary due to the construction of our new municipal building. We anticipate that this closure will be in effect until the fall of 2025, depending on the progress of the construction.
During this period, we kindly ask all residents to use Columbia Drive as an alternative route to access your homes and navigate through the area. However, please note that residents living on Winifred Drive within the closed section will still be able to access their homes.
We understand that this may cause inconvenience to residents living in the vicinity and to delivery drivers needing to make deliveries in the area. We ask for your cooperation and patience during this time. Delivery drivers who require access to addresses within the closed section of Winifred Drive are permitted to enter via Columbia Drive.
We apologize for any disruptions this may cause to your daily routines and understand the importance of ensuring continued access for essential deliveries. Please rest assured that we are working diligently to minimize the impact of the construction on our community.
Regular updates regarding the progress of this construction are presented on the third Monday of each month at Borough Council meetings located at 275 Curry Hollow Road Suite 220. Additionally, our team will be available to address any concerns or questions you may have regarding the project.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve our community infrastructure. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at 412-655-3300.
Sincerely,
Borough of Pleasant Hills
